About the host

Mike has been coaching and working in the game of Baseball for over 20 years and in Catholic Ministry for over 10 years. He joined the Catholic Athletes for Christ team in a full-time capacity in 2025 as the Director of Strategic Development and the Midwest Region Sports Missionary.

In 2023, Mike launched the CAC Baseball Showcase. This is an annual event hosted on the Opening Weekend of Ohio High School Baseball on the campus of Athletes In Action in Xenia, OH. During this weekend, eight of the top Catholic High School Baseball Teams from around Ohio come together for their first games of the season and for a special Welcome Dinner featuring a keynote speaker. This has become a premier baseball event, as well as a weekend that is the highlight for many of the teams that participate.

Mike has previously coached at every level of baseball, from youth to NCAA Division 1. During his coaching career, he has served on the University of Dayton baseball staff, where he helped lead the team to its first-ever A10 Championship. He coached at the high school level at Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School and Kettering Fairmont High School, helping to lead both programs to their first league championships and helping many players move on to the next level, including 2024 8th Round draft pick of the San Diego Padres, and first-ever Virtuous Ahlete Podcast guest, Nick Wissman.

He also spent multiple summers coaching within the Custom X Summer Baseball Program, where he was blessed to coach a roster that had 15 players sign at the Division 1 level, and also coach former professional players, Peyton Burdick and Ty Duvall.

During Mike's 10+ years in Catholic ministry, he has spent time as a Campus Minister at Chaminade Julienne High School, Youth and Young Adult Ministry at St. Mary of the Assumption in Springboro, OH, the Parish and Community Relations Coordinator for Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley, and served as the Development Director for the Our Lady of Light Family of Parishes in Centerville, OH.

Mike is happily married to his wonderful wife Maddie and they have two beautiful daughters.
